Liebster Award

I’ve been nominated for a Liebster Award! A huge thank you to the lovely Alane from Bobble Anime for the nomination. She has a wonderful blog featuring episode wise anime reviews and is also a great writer.  Do check it out if you haven’t already! Also I apologise for getting around this post so late.

The Liebster Award  recognizes up and coming bloggers by helping others discover new blogs and facilitate community building via a chain system of nominations.

I don’t think this award would have been possible without the constant support of all my followers. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you guys for your constant support.

Rules:

Thank the person who nominated you and answer the 11 questions they’ve written for you.

Nominate 11 people and give them 11 different questions to answer.

Questions:

What’s your usual blogging routine?

Well actually,  I don’t have  a fixed blogging routine as I am never able to follow the schedules I fix for myself  haha. I write whenever I feel like and have something to write. Currently I post my answers to the Anime Challenge any two days of the week and also anything bookish in between. Mostly Character Wars.

200-2
Me everyday.

What’s the blog post you’re most proud of and why?

This is a good question. I think I’m proud of this Death Note fan poem and this favourite anime soundtrack list the most! Back then,  I didn’t have a lot of followers and so not many people had been able to see these. The Anime Soundtrack list had took a great deal of time to write and the Death Note Fanpoem is my own creative writing and who would’nt be proud of their own writing? Also it was my first blog post.

If you could pick one thing that usually draws you to an anime, what would it be?

It’s very hard to pick just one thing when there are so many factors that define a good and appealing anime for me.

I’ll have to go with plot. The plot is one of the most important things of an anime for me. Though I have to say,  you don’t get a very accurate idea of the plot on the first impression so if I have to judge an anime by only one episode,  I’ll go with the animation and soundtrack. I know you asked for only one but I couldn’t help it. xD

Any other hobbies?

Apart from watching anime and reading books,  I also love singing and listening to music and watching TV shows.

Favorite movie?

I haven’t seen a lot of movies but from the ones that I’ve seen,  and I usually enjoy animated movies,  my favourite will have to be Wall E. The film was so amazing with a great message. With the pollution levels reaching a new high,  it’s not hard to imagine a future world like that in Wall E.

Favorite cover of a song?

I’m sorry. Haven’t heard a lot of covers. Though I do like listening to different versions of a song using different instruments like the Cello brothers (2cello) and sometimes I enjoy parodies of pop songs. Also I love listening to piano covers of anime soundtracks, they are so beautiful.

If you could master any two languages, what would they be?

Japanese and French. I’ve always liked Japanese ever since I started watching anime and would love to master it. Anime did teach me some words and phrases in Japanese and I’m quite proud of them. French because I feel it is a very eloquent language and sounds very beautiful.

Do you have a musical instrument that you’d like to learn how to play?

200-4

I do have a keyboard /synthesiser but I’m not very good at playing it. It used to be my brother’s until he bought a new one for himself and this was passed down to me.  I can play some tunes on it but I want to play it like all the pianists from Your Lie In April!

Look at the wall/scenery in front of you. What’s the first thing you see?

The wall in front of me shows a bookshelf filled with different books and adorned with little merch here and there.  It’s not a very big bookshelf but it’s very precious to the person who owns it and she loves staring at it and admiring it.

What time is it right now for you?

The time here while I’m writing this post is 10.44 am.  But it’s going to be much later when I finally publish it.

Can you recommend us all a good snack?

Nachos. They’re the best.

My Nominations:

No one is obligated to do the post.  I’ve once again tried nominating people who haven’t already been nominated for this award, though, my apologies still if i nominate you again.

8. Tea or coffee?

  1. Congratulations on your award, Ava! And thanks so much for nominating me 🙂
I’ve already been nominated for this before but the questions are always different, so I’m doing separate posts on each.
Great answers 🙂 I love 2cello too! And Japanese would be a great language to master but it’s so hard, it would probably take over 10 years for a foreigner to finally do it. Still, I wouldn’t cross it off my list just yet.

    1. Thanks you and congratulations to you too!
2cello are so talented. Yeah Japanese is hard, but I would still like to learn it haha.
Looking forward to reading your answers! 🙂

      1. I’ve done this award before, but since it’s different questions, I’ll probably do it again. I’ll let you know when I do! ☺️

  2. Yay! Congratulations! Womp–don’t worry about the time; I definitely did not get to yours in a very timely manner. I really really love piano covers of anime soundtracks, too. They must be my fave. I LOVE piano.

I like how you have so much diversity of content–thanks for sharing the Death Note poem and anime soundtracks. Don’t worry, it’s hard for me to pick out something too. I probably like characterization the most but will eat my words if presented with like, any anime. I will nom on nachos now.

Thanks for all of the interesting answers to my uninspired questions. 🙂 May we all have bookshelves that we cherish in the walls in front of us.

    1. Animated films are the best. Even I started branching out only recently, but like you said, animated ones will always be closer to my heart. Thanks for reading!

      1. EXACTLY! I associate Centuries with The Mortal Instruments because of this one fan-made video that I watched once, and it was epic. I also love Favourite Record~ *sigh* now I have a mad urge to go listen to the album

      2. Haha. I can see why your friend would do that.
I associate My songs know what you did in the dark with Percy, simply because it was played in the sea of monsters movie(which completely sucked, for the record)
Fun fact : It was also my first FOB song.

      3. Centuries, when I heard it in that fan-made video of TMI, was my first FOB song.
And after watching the first Percy movie (thinking it was cool) then reading the books, I more or less vowed to always think twice about watching a movie that’s supposedly an adaptation of a book.

      4. I knooow! I would’ve felt guilty about not watching the movies if they made any more. And it IS a universal fact– but I make it a rule to at least give those movies a try before running over to my books and hugging them XD

      5. Yeah. Even I give the movies a chance and also shout something on the lines of – “Ooh! I remember this dialogue from the book.” to whoever has come along with me to watch it.
Some movies aren’t all that bad. Though they cannot top the books of course!

      6. The HP movies are quite accurate! In fact I’d seen some parts before reading the book. Though I was too little to remember any spoilers when I saw it so my book reading experience wasn’t endangered.

      7. I’ve seen all the movies before the books; and although I had the general gist of each book before reading it, I still enjoyed it immensely. That’s why I think it’s double the fun~ (the first few movies are quite accurate yes, but they did book 5 injustice!)
